As you all may know the ‘India March for Science’ (IMFS) movement has been happening in different parts of the country with the aim of cultivating scientific temper among the youth fraternity thereby irradicating unscientific beliefs. The movement also aims in bringing under the attention of our government on the need to consider science and the current environmental issues while making policies.
The India March for Science is part of the Global March for Science launched in 2017 to demand that policy-making be based on scientific evidence as social progress is based solely on science.
This is to bring to your notice that Shasthra Snehi, Breakthrough Science Society, AASTRO Kerala, Sastra Sahitya Parishad and other like-minded organisations from Kerala are taking part in the March for Science Global Movement. The March for Science (Trivandrum Chapter) will be conducted on 27th August 2022 (Saturday) at 10.00 am in Thiruvananthapuram.
