Finally, Perseverance Got Its Real Wheels & Air Brakes

Like a Baby undergoing gestation period inside the safety wall of its mother’s womb before birth, our baby rover, Perseverance is gaining its fully developed body before its launch. A baby with well predicted dauntless life, Yeah, the new superhero from Earth to Mars. This young guy is gonna have a rocking life on Mars. To take humanity to the new level of knowledge and excitement, our new adventurer is eagerly waiting for that date; Feb. 18, 2021, the day of landing.

This modern, junior curiosity will explore the red planet and will bring its secrets to light. Now this baby rover is as happy as Peter Parker with his modern suit. Yeah, Perseverance finally got its Six beautiful flight wheels for its adventure. He received these on March 30, 2020. Each wheel with its own individual motor. The two front and two rear wheels have individual steering motors. This steering capability allows the vehicle to turn in place, a full 360 degrees. The four-wheel steering also allows the rover to swerve and curve, making arcing turns. Those wheels are larger in diameter compared to his senior rover curiosity. This guy also got new treads or grousers.

Perseverance also got its indispensable Parachute to land on Mars. Since he will be the heaviest guy to land on Mars in History, NASA has to do research on developing suitable parachute. When deployed at about 7 miles (11 kilometres) above the Martian surface, the chute will take about a half-second to fully inflate its 70.5-foot-wide (21.5-meter-wide) canopy.

Perseverance will be a hero for the entire humanity. He will explore the red planet and it’s sure that he will succeed in finding the sign for past microbial life and in studying the planet’s climate and geology. We can hopefully wait for that auspicious moment.
