Shasthra Snehi’s All India Workshop Explores Exoplanets, Sun, and Astrophotography at LNCPE

We are extremely happy to announce that Shasthra Snehi has taken the lead in conducting a one-day space science event as part of the All India Summer Program, organized by the Vikram Sarabhai Science Foundation. This remarkable event, held at the Lakshmibai National College of Physical Education (LNCPE) on May 25th, witnessed enthusiastic participation from school students representing every state of India.

The event featured captivating sessions and activities on exoplanets, sun & astrophotography, and the analysis of real telescope data from both ground-based and space-based sources. It provided an exceptional opportunity for students across the country to immerse themselves in the wonders of space science.

Students were captivated by sessions delving into the enigmatic realm of exoplanets, the mesmerizing beauty of the sun, and the art of astrophotography. These sessions, led by seasoned experts, provided an immersive experience, allowing participants to grasp the complexities of celestial phenomena and the methods employed in their study.

One of the event’s highlights was the hands-on analysis of real telescope data, sourced from both ground-based and space-based observatories. This rare opportunity enabled students to don the hats of astronomers, deciphering astronomical data and uncovering the secrets concealed within the vastness of space. The excitement was palpable as young astronomers engaged with genuine data, fostering a sense of discovery and scientific inquiry.
